(MGCubed) is a first-of-its-kind project focusing on \u2018interactive distance learning\u2019. Their aim was to provide 72 government schools with solar powered computers and projectors to broadcast live teaching sessions from studios in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>The pioneering project impacts more than 5,000 marginalised girls within two regions in Ghana, Volta and Greater Accra, and offers them an enhanced quality of education to help transform their future.<\/p>\n<p>The entire operation was managed by GEMS Education Solutions, the world\u2019s leading education company. Aleutia Ltd, a London-based, low power PC manufacturer, were also contracted to provide the ICT solution.<\/p>\n<p>Aleutia Ltd asked us for support on the inverter and solar design to power all of the equipment in the rural, off grid schools.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to design an individual package for the project which included:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-icon\">\n<li>72 x 480W solar panel roof mount array (4 x 120W)<\/li>\n<li>12V 220Ah AGM battery<\/li>\n<li>12V Pure Sine Wave 350W inverter<\/li>\n<li>30A MPPT charge controller<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By providing a custom solar solution, it helped to pioneer the \u2018interactive distance learning\u2019 project.<\/p>\n<p>For the students, they can now interact with the teacher talking to their class, instead of simply watching a passive video.
