Wireless charging is increasingly becoming the preferred method of maintaining battery power in mobile devices with most of the major device manufacturers including wireless charging feature as standard. The Alfatronix designed and manufactured AL4 wireless charger is designed for installation into furniture such as desks, bedside tables and counter tops, making them ideal for tough, publicly accessible areas where different users with a variety of mobile devices come and go. The modules are water resistant to IP65 and can withstand any spills and constant use. The high friction surface encourages the phone to stay in place. Installation is easy – insert the unit through a 80mm diameter hole, secure from below and connect with the supplied mains power adapter. The wireless receiver of the charging unit will automatically detect the presence of suitably enabled mobile devices and will typically charge through a case up to 3mm thick. The wireless charging range has been designed to meet the rigourous standards required for on board commercial vehicle applications and publicly accessible areas – including EN50498 and ISO7637-2 and is CE and E marked. Manufactured from high impact polycarbonate the casing is highly durable and safe to use in all environments.
